2022.01.20 17:29 Superboy73 What gen is the worst one?
I love Pokémon and was wondering what the overall least favorite gen is, for me it is gen 7 because I hate how every time it starts to move fast and starts to be fun there is another story point that’s slows it back down to the speed of the beginning of the game

2022.01.20 17:29 ryuk_luvs_apples Polygon is the man for the job when it comes to facing critical issues associated with blockchain technology.
Opera unveiled yesterday its Crypto Browser Project, and I believe it’s gonna be something to talk about for weeks if not months. I’m being honest here, actions do speak louder words right?
Opera took this first initiative to launch an experimental fast and super secure Web3 browser making it easier than ever to browse dApps, games, and metaverse platforms, plus offering direct frictionless access to Web3 services with versions available on Windows, Android, and Mac. I kinda like that.
Not only that, but it will offer a built-in non-custodial wallet which means giving users full access to their funds as to key information including crypto news, crypto asset prices and gas fees, in addition to crypto events, airdrops and even podcasts! As I’m writing this, I’m wiping my tears of joy lmfao.
Okay so it wise and clever of Opera to partner with Polygon since it knew it will be facing critical issues associated with blockchain technologies. For example, of the most crucial matters is the environmental costs of carrying out each transaction. And guess what, MATIC famously known for its abilities and efficiency is the man for the job.
No doubt this is remarkable guys, this release of the experiment to the world whilst waiting for feedbacks from the crypto community with the aim of building it together and moving forward. I can’t wait to witness what Opera and Polygon are having to provide us, and I’m pretty sure this will have a huge impact on Polygon and its token price. Don’t you think so?

Any advise or comment on joining one of these or VIP in general? Stress, expenses, experience, connections, etc? Feedback would help a lot because I have no idea how VIP works. Thanks.

2022.01.20 17:29 -ThatsNotIrony- Expectations and suggestions - Visiting Tahoe
I'm heading to Tahoe late March/early April for 4-5 days of skiing with my wife and another couple. We were originally planning to just hit Heavenly (have Epic), but we got a sweet deal on lodging and will be closer to Incline Village now. We've been to Heavenly before and enjoy it, but with Northstar being so close, we will probably end up splitting our time between them. We've never been to Northstar before though - what's the general vibe up there? Anything we should know about it beforehand?

2022.01.20 17:29 lostboy411 Tested Negative on PCR; finally recovered, but did anyone have symptoms like this?
I was exposed the first week of January to my sister whose roommate was COVID-19 positive. My sister had already had it recently (early December) and was symptom free, and tested negative on a rapid test. I really didn't want to visit but was forced to (long story) due to family politics. My symptoms after were weird and I'm trying to figure out if it might have been COVID (finally feeling normal about 2 weeks later).
About 2 days later, I woke up with incredible fatigue. I haven't felt anything like that since I had a bad flu in early 2018. It felt like something was stuck in my throat. I tested myself with an at-home test and came up negative. I also felt extremely irritable.
Within the next two days, I developed a swollen tonsil on one side with white spots and painful swollen glands. I'm prone to sinus infections and strep, and began to wonder if this was just strep throat (but the pain in the tonsil isn't as intense as with strep). I try to forget about it. Develop bad lower digestive issues one night and test myself again - negative. Once again wondering if it's just strep. My local urgent care closed and the closest one at the time was a 25 min walk with a 2-3 hour wait (around other COVID-symptomatic people all trying to get tested). I decide to just tough it out. I've been isolating because of Omicron anyway so I just wait to see what happens.
Over the next 3 days, the white tonsil persists, as does the fatigue, and now my neck generally feels stiff. I'm able to function and even work out at home a little but it feels hard to think and like I have rocks in my throat. I have no fever, no cough, no sniffles or anything. Assuming it's just strep. I do go and get a PCR test from a popup site (I call the lab to make sure it's not a scam), but it takes 7+ days to come back. (in NYC where testing during this time frame was really high in demand.) One night I wake up stuck to the bed in sweat, but no fever.
After a week total (so another 2 or so days), I'm on a phone call with my mom and have to disconnect because I inexplicably feel absolutely horrible. My hands and feet go cold and I have really bad digestive issues all of a sudden, now with some nausea. My temperature is like 96.3. I get scared and schedule a telehealth appointment through a local hospital. They look at the tonsil over the camera and say it doesn't look horrible, and prescribe antibiotics. I start taking them. The brain fog begins to go away and I assume it's because of the antibiotics.
After another 4-5 days, the white spots slowly fade on my tonsil, but now I get daily headaches and earaches. Not as bad a a migraine but I have to take ibuprofen every day pretty much. The PCR test comes back as negative - but the date on it is wrong (they said I got it on a Wednesday but I did the test on a Monday). Wondering if they mixed the sample up.
That brings us to today. I feel mostly normal (the headaches are basically gone) except inexplicably depressed (whereas I had lots of anxiety while actively sick). I'm trying to figure out if I might have had COVID. I had been assuming it was strep because a) only one side of my throat was really impacted, b) I had no other cold-like symptoms, c) earaches are apparently not common for COVID, and d) no fever (and in fact the opposite - my temperature was really low). but now I see people who say only one side of their throat hurts with COVID and that feeling of like you're trying to swallow around a rock.
Tl;dr I had lingering but mild symptoms of what I assumed was strep throat for about 2 weeks, but I get strep throat a lot and it felt different than that. Symptoms included earaches, which aren't common for COVID apparently, headaches, brain fog, fatigue, anxiety, depression, but no cold symptoms. I tested negative on 2 at home rapid tests within the first 4 days and 1 PCR test after 6 days, but the PCR test was from a pop up tent and was mislabeled. Wondering if anyone had similar experiences to this or if it was a very weird case of strep or another bacterial infection. I have an SO who felt completely fine except about 2 days of a sore throat but no white spots, and it may have been unrelated (it's very dry here right now). We're both triple vaxed Moderna.

This was published last fall but I came across it and it hit a nerve for me
When my yellow Lab died last spring, I was flattened by an overwhelming sadness that’s with me still. And that’s normal, experts say, because losing a pet is often one of the hardest yet least acknowledged traumas we’ll ever face.

2022.01.20 17:29 MonsTangy27 Schneider was fantastic against the Leafs
I’m rewatching the game and Schneider was so solid in his own end from beginning to end. Perfectly timed stick checks while also using the body to separate puck from forward.
If I hadn’t already known this was game #3 in his career, I would’ve thought he was a five-year vet.
